We do not issue refunds for missed classes. We will however, provide a credit which can be used towards another class when a 48 hour notice is provided. Please be mindful that there are absolutely no exceptions.  

Faema Culinary Academy can cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment with a minimum of 2 days prior notice. We reserve the right to alter the course or change the instructor if necessary.



Upon registration, full payment is required. If paying with a gift certificate, please present it at the beginning of the class.  Faema Culinary Academy is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of gift certificates. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. 




  • Places are booked on a first-come-first-served basis upon receipt of payment confirmation

  • On booking and payment for a class(es) you will receive a booking and payment confirmation by email

  • Confirmed bookings are not eligible for refunds or cancellations under any circumstances

  • If you cannot attend a class you may send someone else in your place. Please let us know the name of the attendee in advance of the class

  • You may transfer to an alternative class if you give us a minimum of 2 days notice

  • Please notify us of any change in the contact details provided as these will be used by Faema Culinary Academy for all correspondence

  • Occasionally we may have to cancel or postpone a class due to unavoidable circumstances or if a class is under-subscribed. In such cases, we will notify all confirmed attendees as soon as possible and offer to transfer to another class or to issue a full refund

  • Please let us know if you have any food allergies




Our information

When you purchase a workshop or product via our website, we record your name, address, contact details, product purchased and in the case of workshops, any dietary requirements.


How we use your data

If you book onto a workshop with Faema Culinary Academy, you consent to be contacted about your booking via the email address provided.
We will email you at the time of booking with a confirmation of your order. We will also send an email a few days before the workshop as a reminder. We will not use your email address for marketing.

When you access the Faema Culinary Academy website, you have the option to be added onto our newsletter which details workshops, events and other Faema Culinary Academy news. You can unsubscribe to this at any time.

At the time of booking we will request your telephone number.
We will only call you if we have a query about your booking or need to inform you about any change in circumstances such as tutor illness, extreme weather or workshop cancellation.

This data is used for statistical purposes to analyse where workshop attendees are travelling from.  It is also useful to know where attendees live in order to provide appropriate directions and, in extreme weather conditions, to assess whether the course should be cancelled or not.  We do not use this data for any other purposes.

Under the Faema Culinary Academy you are entitled to know what information we are storing about you and to ask us to modify or delete it. If you would rather us not to keep your information after you have attended your workshop or purchased your product, please email us at events@faema.ca and your personal information will be removed from our database.  Any non-identifiable information such as workshop title, date and fees paid will be retained for statistical purposes. If you would like to see a copy of your data or require your data to be updated, please contact us using the details below.  Please allow 5 working days for your request to be completed.

When participating in a Faema Culinary Academy class/dinner/event, where by the student/participant will be around or using sharp and potentially dangerous tools suitable to a kitchen environment, the student releases, Faema Culinary Academy and its employees from any and all liability of any kind for any damage or injury incurred while attending or visiting Faema Culinary Academy. The student/participant understands these terms and conditions and accepts the inherent risks of a kitchen environment when they make a full payment for a scheduled class/dinner/event.
