The Faema Culinary Academy is pleased to offer Gelato making courses.

Let us guide you through the sweet, sensory journey of creating the flavours and textures that have been loved all around the world! Gelato, Italy’s cool treat is the tastiest of all Italian desserts, loved by people of every age.

Throughout our hands-on and informative  classes, students will learn the art of making the authentic Italian gelato using fresh and natural ingredients, understand different production methods and guidance on equipment to best suit your needs. 

This course is catered for aspiring gelato entrepreneurs who wants to take a first step to learn how to produce high quality authentic Italian gelato or gelato adventurers wanting to learn more.

 
  Professional Class   With a rapidly expanding curriculum, the FCA offers classes in the Neapolitan, Romana, Al Taglio, Traditional, Dolci, and wheat free styles of pizzamaking. Our experienced chefs will break down the technical science behind the equipment, recipes, and product management to help maximize any pizzerias potential.

Traditional Whole Milk Gelatos Course

A style of gelato that revolves around the traditional milk, vanilla, or chocolate bases. Students will explore the different types of sauces, additions, and garnishes that are commonly paired with these types of gelati. (fior di latte, baico) 

 

Gelataio Training Equipment

The FCA offers access state of the art equipment suitable for the casual home consumer right up to the busiest restaurants. With access to vast catalogue of traditional pasta makers, cookers, dough mixers, our instructors will pass on the knowledge required to maximize the full potential of your equipment.

 
 

 
 

Location

You are invited to visit the largest showroom for coffee equipment in North America, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at the corner of Dupont and Christie.

Our showroom is 20,000 square feet and housed in the historic Ford manufacturing plant.

We’ve filled it with top of the line barista, pizza, pasta, bakery and gelato equipment + accessories.
